For All of Us

“Ladies and Gents of the Blue Ridge – Transgender Alliance” (LGBR) is a 501.c3 non-profit organization founded in 2005 and has grown over the years developing many programs locally and regionally. We have organized several Transgender conferences in Roanoke, VA, that focus on transgender education, health care, transgender families, resources, and education. We have social events that allow our community to come together in a safe space and enjoy each other’s company including picnics, movie nights, restaurants, pool parties, outdoor recreation etc.

Resources

Information. Support. Connection.

Navigating life as a transgender individual can be complex, but you’re not alone. Our resource hub offers comprehensive guides, mental health support referrals, legal assistance information, and healthcare resources tailored to the unique needs of our community. Whether you’re seeking gender-affirming care, legal advice, or peer support, our curated resources are here to empower you with knowledge and connect you to the help you deserve.

Outreach

Building Bridges. Creating Community.

Our outreach programs focus on education, advocacy, and community-building. We engage with schools, businesses, healthcare providers, and local organizations to foster understanding, reduce stigma, and promote inclusive practices. Through workshops, public speaking, and collaboration with community leaders, we aim to amplify transgender voices and ensure that trans individuals are represented, respected, and celebrated everywhere. Get involved and help us spread the message of acceptance and equality.

We Have the Power to Impact Our Future, and We’re Doing Something About It

Change doesn’t happen by chance; it happens through action, resilience, and community. At our core, we believe in the power of collective effort to shape a brighter, more inclusive future for transgender individuals everywhere. Every program we create, every event we organize, and every connection we build is fueled by a commitment to equity, dignity, and hope. Together, we are dismantling barriers and creating spaces where transgender people can thrive.

This journey is not just about advocacy—it’s about transformation. It’s about empowering individuals to live authentically and without fear. It’s about standing up, speaking out, and showing up for one another. With the support of our community, allies, and dedicated partners, we are turning our vision into reality. Join us, and let’s continue to make history together.

“I want to live in a world where we celebrate difference as an emblem of connection, not conflict. Where we find joy in the ways we are unlike one another because it reminds us there is so much more to love.”
